Early 2000s kid. AMA.
The first dinosaur I rode was a brontosaurus.
Just kidding it was a T-Rex in this Arcade/N64 game called Rampage. Still the best drunk party game. Smashing buildings and eating people, what more can you ask for?!

If we're not referring strictly to core childhood, technically I could even be considered an Early 2000s kid as well (since I was 3 and 4 years old in 2002 and 2003), so the fact that you were an Early 2000s kid doesn't seem old to me at all! I've never played that game, but it looks like it would have been fun.

This song was played on Max (a TV music channel) a few days ago. I was only 16 months old when the single was released, so I obviously don't have any memories of it being brand new. However, I do have quite a few memories of the song from my childhood, because my primary school would play it quite regularly and we would have to sing/dance to the song.

Speaking of another song which makes me feel very nostalgic for 2003... I heard this being played only a few minutes ago. I still remember when it was brand new.

longaotian You had a better taste in music than I did at the time! This was one of my favourite songs when I was a toddler.

Have to admit I am not nostalgic for any year in the 2000s. That's fair enough. I think following the pop culture of the time plays a part in having nostalgia for a certain time period. For instance, my parents have nostalgia for the '90s, as they were in their 20's-Early '30s during the decade. However, they also don't have any nostalgia for the 2000s, possibly because they fell out of touch with pop culture by that point.

The thing is, Shark, apart from it being too recent, I had lost all interest in pop culture by then, a combination of not liking the music and having grown up and moved on. Also I was working for the boss from Hell in a job I hated.

This is something that I have been trying to figure out for ages, but I can't for the life of me think of what the name of the character was. When I was 3-4 years old, I had a bed quilt based on a skeleton-character. He was a video-game character and he was popular during the Early 2000s. I'm pretty certain that I even had a game based on him on the PS1 as well. I just can't think of what the game or the character was called. Danger Dude, Skeleton-Man, Bone Man? I'm not sure. I know my description is really vague, but does anyone know what I might be talking about?
