Today's the big day!! One of my most favourite days in gaming! Pokémon Green and Pokémon Red by Nintendo were released for the Gameboy in Japan on 27 February 1996, now 22 years ago! One of the best-selling games of all time, the second biggest gaming franchise of all time, and the biggest children's toy fad in human history all started out exactly 22 years ago! Can you believe it's so old now? 22 years ago! Even though Pokemon Green and Pokemon Red were released before I was born, I don't think of them as being that old.

I got it for Christmas in 1998. I remember playing this for hours on end when I first got my hands on it (I even took it away with me during family summer holidays in 98,99,00 ). So many great memories!

I'm not sure where I left it after moving house a few times. :s I sunk many hundreds of hours into all the mainline Pokémon games (except Pokémon Moon, I should maybe get to that )

We’re both tragics, lol! I probably spent hundreds of hours on it also. Did you ever own the Silver or Gold versions? Also, did you ever own Pokémon Snap? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pokémon_Snap
