My name is Mario, I go by the name mwalker1996 on popedia. Those of you who seen my frist post on the introduction thered know I have a youtube channel where I do poetry, vloging and livestreaming. I write a lot of poetry, been writing since I was 14 and I've written books and had the opportunity to perform at open mics. I decided to take my skills to youtube since youtube is the best place to turn your passion to a living. The books I written had some sales, but nothing major (they're all on amazon btw). With all that said who's into poetry? or better yet who like a special request poem where I write about a certain topic that you requested? Here's my channel www.youtube.com/channel/UCxSYf-diWROR2-YOT_-CAbw

I used to enjoy writing poetry during my spare time in primary school. I've had a look at some of the poems on your YouTube channel and they're pretty good. I like the "Hustle" poem you made.

In high school, I wrote tons of poetry, as I was in a creative writing class. That was a great class, probably my favorite. Nice to see another fellow writer on here! I myself have also written a few book length stories. Haven't published them, but have been graded for them in college.

You should consider publishing them, especially if your poems have been graded at college. If it's something that you're really interested in, it may not be a bad idea.

I was going through my computer hard-drive and I managed to come across this poem I made when I was in Year 11. It's from September 2016:
The clock struck the hour, So heartless and routine, Hiding all the lies and sorrows, Of all that has ever been. But time stands still, And the internal pain continues, For those, like Jerry, This was the core of their issues.
I intended that to be the opening stanza of a poem, but I didn't end up completing it, because I found out that I didn't have to compose a poem for an English project I had to do.

I like other people's poetry but I hate it myself.

Oh cool, longaotan. Good to hear that other people on here are into poetry. In the US poetry is considered a dead art form, but we are experiencing a resurgence with slam/spoken word poetry. Poetry must be pretty big in Australia.
