I was giving this a thought earlier and I thought it would be an interesting idea for a topic. If there was a famous person/celebrity who you wish you could have a pop culture discussion with, who would it be? John Lennon:I think it would be really interesting to hear John Lennon's views on the music scene and society, in general. I would imagine that he would take quite an interest in discussing music/pop culture over time, as he was very intuitive and always looked at the bigger picture. Sometimes I wonder how he would have perceived the '80s and the MTV Generation. I remember I watched an interview of him (my Dad is a massive Beatles fan, so I have watched quite a lot of interviews over the years) from the beginning of 1980 and he stated that he was looking forward to the new decade. It's a shame that his life ended so soon. Kurt Cobain:Kurt was quite knowledgeable about the music scene. I find it interesting how he explains the origins of new-wave in this interview and how Nirvana have similarities with the genre. Even the way he describes it as being a "progression and mutation of punk rock". It would have been really interesting to hear his views on the music industry and pop culture, in my opinion.

John Lennon, good call. Tomas even named his own son John in his honour.
My own choices would be David Bowie and Agnetha Faltskog because they are legendary geniuses. And I make no apologies for use of the present tense. David left a great legacy and will always be a legend.
I want to like your post but it won't register.

Rachel Stevens, pretty obviously, because it was really her example that largely inspired me out of my personal ditch along with Louise Redknapp. I've come across a handful of quotes and interviews of her and have a pretty solid understanding of how she sees herself in relation to the world, her daughters, her husband, and other popular figures. She's very family-oriented and is acutely aware of how much the world is accelerating due to its technology, but even underneath all her glamour, Rachel actually seems like a pretty easy-going and unpretentious human being. I would personally love to have a pop cultural conversation with her not just because I appreciate and feel motivated by her, but also because she really taps into the balance of friendly, personal human and recognized, albeit self-asserted beauty, a juxtaposition that resonates really heavily with me but which I feel is really overlooked by most people.

It's sad that he is no longer with us. You're right though, he will definitely always be a legend.
