As the title suggests, have you ever done karaoke? I have only done karaoke once, and that's because I was forced too.  My school held an "Open Day" in-school excursion each year, where we would all be split up into groups of 20-25 people and go to different classrooms throughout the school to do activities. Anyway, for one activity, we had to do karaoke, which involved playing Singstar on the PS2 (yes, my school actually owned a PS2 console). My teacher randomly picked me and forced me to sing "Waterloo" by ABBA with a bunch of other kids. I didn't even sing, I just pretended to.

Yes, I actually do karaoke pretty regularly now. My friend I met last year who sadly moved back to New York suggested we go sing karaoke one night, and I had a blast doing it, so I go back out every once in a while. Usually, I sing soccer hits that I not only love, but which get me pumped up. Most often, I find myself performing Robbie Williams' "Rock DJ" and Take That's "Shine".

The reason I ask, is because the people in the vicinity likely wouldn't be aware of the songs (since they did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100), so hearing the tracks would probably come as a bit of a surprise to them.

I'm not a huge fan of karaoke, but when I was younger I did participate, and I regret it lol. Just thinking about it embarrasses me.

I did get a person or two who thought I was European, but mostly they just had fun watching me because I had so much fun singing along to the songs and dancing with lots of energy. I think some Americans know about "Rock DJ" because of its infamous music video, but it's still fairly obscure, regardless.

Yes, at my ex boss's party. They liked it so much I got to sing at each subsequent party.
