If you're not sure whether you're a Millennial or Generation Z, perhaps today is your lucky day... which sounds more appetizing to you, avocado toast, or tide pods?
(note, this is a joke thread, not meant to be taken seriously)

I've never tried tide pods before, but from the pictures I have seen, they look disgusting. I guess that means I am a Millennial, although I don't like avocado on toast either! If this is your worst nightmare, you're a Millennial:

At least I won't be poisoned if I eat avocado toast.

What if you don’t like both of them? What generation would you belong to?

What if you don’t like both of them? What generation would you belong to? I asked someone born in 2028 this exact same question and they said they prefer none either. Does that mean I’m the same generation as them? I don’t know. I feel like I grew up very different from a 2028 born. Back when I was 16, I had to actually learn how to drive my car. I think that would make me more of a millennial, since I can remember a time without all this advanced technology, like flying scooters for example. I didn’t grow up with that during my childhood.

The fact that you put “jokepoll” to let everyone know it’s a joke ruined the joke for me.

The fact that you put “jokepoll” to let everyone know it’s a joke ruined the joke for me. It definitely took out the humor that's for sure. Speaking of tide pods.. I've recently been hearing that they are putting an age limit with buying these things, or in other words, making them harder to buy to keep out of the hands of young people.

I don't think I've heard that. At least where I'm at, it's still the same. I think that would be somewhat of a pointless idea since parents buy it and the challenge will eventually no longer be popular anyway. It's not going to last forever.

It is somewhat of a good idea in a way. Putting an age limit to buying tide pods would prevent stupid kids from eating them and risking their health. There are consequences though. Fake IDs could be used to access them, and you raised good points about the challenge being just a short living fad that'll go away. If they put an age limit for the time being of the challenges peak popularity, it would be a step forward.

It could be a step forward, but are they just going to put an age limit on things that end up being apart of a challenge? Kids could easily take advantage of that. We should teach our kids not to do stuff like that rather than just put an age limit on it, which IMO is not the best idea.

pink.panda_v3I tried to look up an article about there being an age limit for buying tide pods, and so far I've found nothing.

pink.panda_v3 I tried to look up an article about there being an age limit for buying tide pods, and so far I've found nothing. My bad. It wasn't an article, it was these Twitter posts spreading the rumor. I can't say if it's fake or not. Sooner or later this challenge will die down quickly and tide pods won't be such a big deal anymore. The age limit does have its benefits though.

I can already tell you've been using too much Twitter. I don't think they'll put an age limit on it, to be honest. Like you said, it'll die down soon enough. You don't see a lot of people doing the cinnamon challenge anymore. That was everywhere back in like 2012.
