KC & The Sunshine Band's "Give it Up" was a huge hit in 1983/1984, but it sounds way more at home in 1980/1981.

2007 cover of an early '00s song which sounds early '00s itself.

In all honesty, I don't think it sounds at all dated for its time. Why? It's in a minor key. Around 1964 or 1965, minor keys suddenly became extremely common in popular music after barely being prevalent whatsoever for awhile. "Hanky Panky" very much sounds like something you'd hear from right after the arrival of the Beatles and I can't imagine it being popular before that. That's a very good point. But still, what particularly dates it to me is its use of the simple 12-bars blues progression which had become extremely unpopular in the mid-1960s. And it just has a very dated feel to it in general (reminds me of a Buddy Holly song, but I can't pinpoint which) Oh, I found the song! Instead of a Buddy Holly song, "Hank Panky" is super reminiscent of the Royal Teens' "Short Shorts" from 1958:

Released: 2013 Sounds: 2010 I mean, to be fair electropop was still fairly popular in 2013, but yeah this wouldn't sound that out of place in 2010.

Both of these songs are from 2009, yet they sound straight out of 2005.

This song was getting a lot of airplay in late 2018 but it sounds like an indie pop song from 2009/2010

I don't disagree but there were plenty of indie pop songs that sounded almost like this in 2009, they just weren't that mainstream. This song didn't reached the top 40 but it was massive throughout 2009 if you follow alternative music.

This song has trap elements which is of it's time but that buzzsaw synth in the chorus sounds like it should be in 2011-12.

Honestly this song belongs more in 1978 than 1985. From the "Baker Street" inspired sax solo to the super lush yacht rock instrumentation, it really reminds me of a lot of late 70s soft rock hits, voice reverb included.

I know there were 80s leftovers in the music of 1990 but this song sounds clearly core 80s, something that would come out of 1985/86.

Garbage milk and almost every single from 1995/96, recorded from 1994-1995, feels like a blueprint or just almost exactly like edgy late 90s and y2k era alt sounding pop-rock from 1997-2001

This song definitely has an early 2000's vibe IMO. I could definitely see it coming out in like 2002 or 2003. ...it's a throwback song
