It is strange when people talk about the 2010s they don't mention the name 2010s they just say it's 201.. simliar to how back the 2000s they said this the 21st century instead of we in the 2000s, but I when I watch tv shows from the 90s they'll say we in the 90s. Do you find it weird that you don't hear people say the 2010s when talking about anything trends related to this decade?

I don't think I've heard anyone say "2010's" in real life, but I've definitely heard people say "2000's" though. This decade is weird because the early part of the decade (2010-2012) doesn't end in "teen" while the rest of the decade does.

Let's just stick with calling it the "Twenty tens" please.

I've heard a few people refer to this decade as the "Twenty-tens" offline, albeit not too many. To be honest, I think most people will just refer to it as the "twenty-tens" in future years. True I saw a thread online where someone suggested the 10s be called the tenties. The "tenties"? Can't say that I have heard that before!

Yeah, I just find it strange when people never say what decade we in regarding current trends, but will be quick to say that "it's 2018 this isn't the 90s". I know the 10s is an odd name for a decade, but still, it would be nice to acknowledge that 2010s is an actual decade. Things like social media, smartphones, Livestreaming, trap rap, etc are things that don't just define one year but a decade.

Yeah, I also find it odd, I heard my dad say "twenty tens" for the first time last week, he was talking about the band, U2.

It's pronounced the "Twenty Tens" people.
The 2000s was just an anomaly. We don't pronounce the 1990s as the "One Thousand Nineties", now do we?
However, I get what OP is talking about. Often times, when talking about the 2010s, people will say "We're in the 2000s" or "2017 is the best year of the early 2000s". Stuff like that. They are using the 2000s century definition instead of just the decade, which is weird.
