I was 8 in 2012. That was back when everyone was playing angry birds and freaking out over the Mayan calendar which was supposedly the end of the world. Truly hilarious to see people overreact over a date on a Mayan Calendar. This is why nobody under 13 should watch scary movies. Same I was also 8 in 2012 I remember getting ready for school and my local news said about the world ending I kinda got scared until my teacher said that the world wasn't ending i was relieved.

Imo, @slowpoke1993 had it best. 1998-2003 would have been the best years to experience your core childhood tbh. While 2005-2010 wasn't terrible, it wasnt the best either . Seeing as there's mere months between our ages (November 1992 and Slowpokes February 1993), we basically were sharing the same core childhood experiences, really. Depending on your definition, I'm not really sure he had it much better to be honest.😜

@sharksfan99 @longaotion No doubt, I'm glad I was able to experience the early 2000s as an elementary school student because I still got to experience pokemon and Yu-gi-oh in their prime and got to witness the transition between the gameboy color to the gameboy advance.

Anyways all those people born in 1992-1994 are lucky when they had their core childhood.

Yeah, even being born in 1996 would be quite good for experiencing the Early 2000s, since you were 4-7 years old during those years. 2003 is the only Early 2000s year I truly got to experience.

Playing Cowboys and Indians or cops and robbers with all the kids in the neighbourhood. A couple of girls later moved in the street so we took it indoors and played doctors and nurses

Those born in the late 80s and Early 90s had the ultimate Millennial upbringing since they were main demographic for the pokemon craze, played the 5th generation of consoles and used myspace in their teens.

I was 8 in 2010. Here are some highlights of the year.
I remember watching Toy Story 3 in theaters. I got Super Mario Galaxy 2 and played it all the time in third grade. I got Mario vs Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem. Very fun puzzle game. I started third grade at a new school. I got away from my old school were I got physically bullied. I got my DSi in Christmas 2009 and played it though out this year. I remember hearing rumors about the 3DS on YouTube.

Age 8? I was into collecting go-gos: I remember being obsessed with Sponge Bob as well, after stopping watching Cartoon Network a year before. This is the year where I was into gaming the most, discovering my love for the Crash Bandicoot series. Also this super fun camera game that came out the same year I think:
