It's only natural that the majority of songs released after a certain period of time will begin to sound dated, however there are some songs in particular which really don't age well at all. Here are a few songs, in particular, which I don't think have aged well at all. Sucker DJ - Dimples D (1990) To be honest, a lot of hip hop songs from the Early 90s haven't aged well, but "Sucker DJ" in particular really hasn't aged gracefully at all. It can mostly be contributed to the song's heavy sampling of the theme song to 1960s TV show, I Dream of Jeannie. Cherry Pie - Warrant (1990) - This would have sounded outdated as early as 1993. Apple Eyes - Swoop (1995) - An Australian one-hit wonder from 1995. This would have looked and sounded outdated even by 1995 standards. Sugar, Sugar - The Archies (1969) - Although it hasn't aged well, I like how innocent the song is. Money For Nothing - Dire Straits (1985) - Mostly due to the theme of the song and its historical context. It was very innovative for its time, however I personally don't think that it has aged too well.

Even though this came out at the turn of the 80s and has the same post-disco elements as songs like "Celebrate" and "Let's Groove," the way it's written and composed causes it to be one of the only songs of its time that feels straight-up vintage. It almost seems like it was written back in the 1930s but not recorded until about half a century later, as it leaves the same type of impression on me as songs that old do despite its vastly superior audio fidelity. I just remembered this old one from 90s group ‘Steps’: Ah...yes! I have plenty more to say about this song a bit later...

A lot of the disco (and post-disco) hits from the Mid-Late '70s and very-early '80s would be great candidates for this thread! I agree that "D.I.S.C.O" sounds straight-up vintage. To be fair, it probably would have looked incredibly outdated as early as 1982.
