This audio clip is going viral at the moment and it's starting to get news coverage around the world. Just out of curiosity, do you hear "yanny" or "laurel"?
I can only hear "yanny".

I just heard about this today at school! To me it sounded like "Hit Me". So I guess "yanny."

My sister and her friend showed me this earlier today and asked me what I heard, I heard Laurel and still do. I'm trying to hear "yanny", but I'm not hearing anything even remotely close to it.
This reminds me of the "what color is the dress" thing from a few years back.

How on this beautiful planet of the earth do people hear "Laurel"? That's pretty weird.

I can actually hear both now. "Yanny" sounds like some old smoker's voice and "Laurel" sounds like a very clear, dictionary style voice.
If I focus on the high pitch, I hear "yanny", if I focus on the low pitch, I hear "Laurel".

I would have described it as someone trying to speak in a nasally voice.
