This seems to be a bad habit that a lot of people have. 
When you brush your teeth, do you leave the water running or do you turn the tap off? 
I've always turned the tap off when I brush my teeth. I don't see the sense in leaving the tap running, because it's just a waste of water. It's not hard to turn a tap off!
