For the first time in quite a while, I listened to System of a Down's Toxicity whilst in the car earlier today. The album is often regarded as being one of the greatest albums of the 2000s and it's easy to see why. System of a Down successfully accomplished a record which not only has a rich diversity of influences, but a creative outlet which introspectively questions contemporary 21st Century America. Toxicity is personally one of my favourite albums of all time. The energetic, fresh approach to all of their compositions, coupled with the strong, lyrical themes of each song, makes the album a real pleasure to listen to. Standouts for me include "Prison Song", "Needles", "Bounce" and "Shimmy". There's no song on the album that I dislike at all. For anyone who likes alternative-metal or is simply a general fan of rock music, I would definitely recommend it.

That brings back memories! Chop Suey was my favorite song on it. I think Steal This Album was better to be honest.

My least favorite was their first one, the self titled album with the song's Sugar and Spiders, the two songs that got them noticed. I just couldn't get into the rest of it.
