One of my biggest guilty pleasures was released on my b-year. I can't resist the hypnotizing bassline of this piece of cheese.

Aside from movies I watched as a little kid, I can't really think of very many great movies from 2001. I'm not sure if you count this as being a movie that you watched as a little kid (or if you even like it), but "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" came out in 2001. I think it's a decent movie, even though i'm not a Harry Potter movie.

*Minimum Wage in 1996: $4.75 per hour For 1996, $4.75 sounds incredibly low. I realise that the value of currency would be different when compared to now, but still, 1996 was only 23 years ago.

1997
1. Netflix was founded 2. The world's first cell phone pic was taken. 3. Hypercam was invented. (wasnt alive just yet when this happened) 4. The Pokemon cartoons began. (wasnt alive just yet when this happened) 5. The Good Burger movie came out. 6. Hong Kong gained independence from the British Rule 7. The Barney balloon was destroyed during the Thanksgiving Parade 8. Google Search was invented, even though the company was founded like a year later
Movies:
1. Good Burger
That is the only movie from that year that comes to mind.
Songs: Nothing comes to mind.
Shows:
1. Friends (never actually watched an episode of it, though I hear lots of people like this show, and my older brother keeps watching episodes of it on Netflix and Amazon Prime) 2. Boy Meets World (only one I have seen full episodes of) 3. Everybody Loves Raymond (used to see snippets of it as a preschooler)
Feel free to add more to the list.

Well there is this Lord of the Rings movie, which I actually watched in theaters in 2001, though I found it boring as I was only 4 at the time. Shrek came out that year, and the Smash Mouth song released that year.

What do you think of your birth year? Do you like some of the songs, tv shows or movies that were released during it? 1999:Favourite songs: * "Higher" by Creed * "Push It" by Static-X * Silverchair's Neon Ballroom album (it was released just five days before I was born ) * "Kryptonite" by 3 Doors Down. * "Take a Picture" by Filter Favourite Movies: * The Green Mile * Stuart Little & Toy Story 2 (I liked those movies when I was a kid ) Interesting things about 1999: * Spongebob premiered in May that year * Y2K countdown * The Euro was established. To be honest, I don't really like a lot of the songs or movies that were released in 1999. Apart from the lead-up to the new millennium, it wasn't really an eventful year either. I liked the movie Cruel Intentions, which I did not see back then of course, but it was released that year. I saw the foreign film, Punjabi House that year at home, though I only remember hearing the songs from the movie, but it came out in 1998, though it was available for us to rent in the US only in 1999. All Star was a good song that released days before my second birthday.

I just didn't feel like mentioning it since Aussietv already listed it.
