Now up to 30.1°C again as it is now a northerly wind at a higher speed. Going to be a wonderful night for sleeping! I do enjoy summer because of the long nights but the heat is getting ridiculous now! Haha.  I slept in this morning because it was too hot to sleep during the night! It was still 26c by 3am here. Thankfully, it’s not too common to get these types of conditions during the night. Currently very muggy and 23c now. I hope this thunderstorm that has been predicted comes through very soon.

I've been hearing more and more birds chirping in the morning the past few weeks, it hasn't been that way for almost 6 months. It's not the full orchestra of spring yet, but it's so calming. Even the animals are hyped for spring! I notice more squirrels playing in my backyard too.

If the forecast is to be believed, tomorrow should to be the last day of mid-winter (the dead of winter) and after that, late winter (winter-spring) should begin. I'm so ready to retire my bulky winter jacket for my svelte spring coats. 😎

7 March High: -5°C (windchill: -11°) Low: -16°C (windchill: -22°) Mostly sunny. I think I might be suffering from extreme hypothermia. One of the symptoms is confusing feeling cold for feeling hot, and you start to take your clothes off. I didn't take my clothes off but I did need to unzip my jacket, take off my gloves and pull on my sweater to cool down for a bit.

I wonder how many hockey nets are beneath the ice. 9 March High: 2°C (no wind) Low: -1°C (windchill: -6°) Sunny in the morning and afternoon, mostly cloudy towards sunset. Freezing rain  overnight.  The last day of hockey. ---- Winter is OVER (sort of - the ultra cold part).

It reached a high of 34C this afternoon.  Thankfully, a southerly came in just after 6.30pm, so it has cooled things down a lot. That being said, I was so jealous when I realised this morning that Hobart was only forecast to reach a maximum of 16C today.  That's the type of weather I wish we were experiencing up here!
