Where I am it's a really nice night outside. There is a full moon and there are a lot of stars out. That's nice. You can never really see too many stars where I live, because of a lot of light pollution.

Well the predicted forecast of a huge downpour was right. At my location there has been quite a bit of flooding with some roads currently blocked off and diversions in place (probably not far off 60mm~ during today).

Talk about going from one extreme to another! At least it's a reprieve from the dry, warm conditions Tasmania has been experiencing in recent times.

It is still pouring outside currently so probably upwards of 70-80mm now. Can’t complain I guess as it is desperately needed. A few more days would be good!

I see Hobart only recorded a high of 12C yesterday. Freezing for anytime of the year, let alone December!

I see Hobart only recorded a high of 12C yesterday. Freezing for anytime of the year, let alone December! Yes, it can occur but it's not very common this time of the year! That massive storm front that crossed Victoria caused the same wet cold conditions in Tassie. Today was slightly warmer with 16 degrees the top with 19 for Tuesday. However, another system passes over by Wednesday with up to 40mm of rain forecast for the city. Seems Wollongong has had a system pass over with a fair bit of rain since today and will continue into tomorrow as well apparently.

I was in Kiama earlier this evening and it was raining for almost the entire time I was there. I could also see lightening strikes out to sea.

5C and foggy. Warm for this time of year in Ontario. I’m with SharksFan99. I’m so glad I’m not experiencing those horrible conditions! In saying that, Hobart is expected to get heavy rain today (up to 20mm) and a top of just 17 degrees. Early next week is looking good though, with tops near 30 degrees again expected.

It was -2C and sunny this morning, but with strong winds of 45 km/h, the "windchill" as we call it (how the air actually feels against your skin – important to know for how long you can have exposed skin before you get frostbite) was actually -11C. Brr!
