It’s a clear and chilly 6c here at the moment (feels like just 2c). 14c and cloudy with a chance of showers for later today. Winter is getting far too close for comfort now! Time to move over to Canada for the next few months methinks.

We're having a thunderstorm right now. Also, we might also get tornadoes here in NYC. This is crazy

Really gloomy today, I was in central city and cars were driving around with their lights on at midday because it was so dark.

It was Groundhog Day in Canada & the US today. According to lore, if a groundhog pops out of its den, sees its shadow, and runs back inside, it will be winter for 6 more weeks (until early May). If he doesn't see his shadow, then it will be an early spring. Cheers erupted in Nova Scotia and Québec after Sam and Fred respectively didn't burrow back into their holes. Ontario's Wiarton Willie (his first year on the job!) and Pennsylvania's famous Punxsutawney Phil however saw their shadows and made their retreat, portending a long and harsh winter. Hopefully Sam and Fred get it right! I was looking back and found this old post about Groundhog Day. It looks like our Wiarton Willie unfortunately got it right this year about that never ending winter. Also, #ThrowbackThursday to one month ago when Ontario was engulfed in an icestorm. The pier here was frozen over!

Heres a (snapchat) photo I took a few months ago, these clouds came over and covered the city and the whole sky turned pink, it was pretty cool to see

Auckland definitely experiences some strange weather phenomenons. First it was that strange cyclone system that lingered off the coast a few months ago and now this.

Warm (24c)and sunny today. Spring showers are going to cool things done though: it's going to get down to 5c tonight and the forecast for Saturday is a cool 12c. Heres a (snapchat) photo I took a few months ago, these clouds came over and covered the city and the whole sky turned pink, it was pretty cool to see That's really weird

It's been cloudy and rainy all week with an average temperature of 68 °F. 68°F isn't too bad. It could be worse!
