Good weather continues. The way the sun shined on the few autumn leaves gave everything an orange hue, it was like a permanent sunset throughout the day. It was really beautiful.

20 December High: 6°C Low: 3°C (windchill: -2°) Mostly cloudy during the day, rain in the evening and overnight. ---- Today was the last official day of fall, with the weather to match! Very strange to not see any snow on the ground this close to Christmas  It looks like November/early December-like weather will dominate over the next few weeks, and it will be a late start to winter. Meteorologists say mid-January is when this warm Pacific air will retreat and the bitter Arctic air will take its place. Good news for those of us who planned to wear our 100% cotton ugly Christmas sweater for a few weeks longer

Today was the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, marking the first day of winter. It was a bit too warm today to call it winter, but it's going to get a lot colder from now on. On the bright (hehe) side, it will also start to get progressively sunnier. I'm here for it!

Yesterday was a welcome relief from the warm weather that we have been experiencing. It only reached a maximum of 20C and there was a nice, strong breeze as well. I loved it.  Today, however, saw the return of summer-like conditions. I was in Western Sydney for most of the day as well, so the temperatures were 2-3C warmer than what they would have been at home. This is what is forecast for the week ahead:  Not looking forward to the end of this week.
