We have a topic about the subjects we did best in, so I thought it would be interesting if we had a thread based on the subjects which we found to be the most difficult. I was generally quite good at all the subjects I studied at school, particularly Science, English and H.S.I.E. However, the subject I had the most difficulty in was maths. My exam marks in maths generally ranged between 45-55%. The sad thing was, I was in the "top" maths class for my year group and my marks were considered to be good in comparison to most of the other kids in my grade.

I was generally good at Science, English, History, Geography and Photography (which I was VERY good at!). The subject I had most difficulty was Maths, even though I've received a 60% mark on my HSC, it was still quite a difficult subject because of a certain Math that to this day I still haven't got a f***ing clue on how to figure it out!

I was really good at Photography as well. Just out of curiosity, what topic in maths did you find the hardest to figure out? The topics I found most difficult were linear equations, bearings and algebra. I was just never able to really pick up on them, for some reason. As for your HSC result, 60% isn't too bad. I actually got 61% for my HSC General Maths exam, so I pretty much got the same mark.

Bearings was quite a difficult maths subject, I don't know why. It looks simple on the diagrams but when you attempt it yourself, it's a pain to study. Haha, Twinsies!

Physics... oh man that class was hell for me. I hated it so much that I still have recurring nightmares about being there. My first class of the day was Trigonometry and then my last class of the day was Physics so I was totally burnt out. I hate math but since I was new they put me in that class because they didn't have anything else open so I had to stick with it.

In middle school, math but I managed to pass with just 83.5%. Oh, and does gym count? Because I HATED gym. I was a bad runner, I couldn't run for more than a minute without stopping to take a breath. I got dress coded by my gym teacher for wearing "short" shorts.

Hardest? Hmm... probably Art class. I suck at drawing and I never saw it as important, so I didn't get any better. I got an F in Art and I was proud tbh

I hate math but since I was new they put me in that class because they didn't have anything else open so I had to stick with it. Starting off the day with Trigonometry wouldn't have been fun. I can definitely relate though. I was never a fan of Trigonometry either. In middle school, math but I managed to pass with just 83.5%. Oh, and does gym count? Because I HATED gym. I was a bad runner, I couldn't run for more than a minute without stopping to take a breath. I got dress coded by my gym teacher for wearing "short" shorts. 83.5% is a great result! Well done. In regards to gym, I didn't enjoy doing it either. We had to do it for a whole school term in P.E (a compulsory subject for sport/exercise) back in Year 8 and the worst thing about it, was that we were being assessed on how well we went. Hardest? Hmm... probably Art class. I suck at drawing and I never saw it as important, so I didn't get any better. I got an F in Art and I was proud tbh Haha. I can understand why you viewed it as being unimportant, because unless you intend to do architecture as a career or any career in the arts, it doesn't really have much relevance/use in life after school. As for myself, I was actually pretty good at art. I hate Chemistry with a passion. That's understandable. Chemistry and Physics were the two topics in Science that I was never quite good at.

Might’ve changed since I left, so maybe now you don’t have to do it.

Chemistry and Biology were really confusing for me. There are so many rules and super specific things you need to memorize. It KILLS me.

In that case, the Department of Education must have made the HSC exam optional.

I had a hell of a time with math. Business math I could do. Algebra and the difficult ones should NOT be a requirement. Science it depended on which type. We had a nature science class where we did nature studies and field work and it was interesting. Chemistry and biology I barely squeaked by in.
Language Arts and history I enjoyed, though didn't always care.
My absolute worst nightmare of a class was speech though. It didn't help the teacher was often out of the room. The subject was boring as all get out and act of talking to a whole room while trying to make it interesting made for one awful time.

The only class I ever failed was Micro Econ.
I did drop out of Physics when I had a D. I had to fight for it too since I was the thirteenth person to drop lmao.
Science was never really my thing. Math depended on the class. More practical applications like Stats and Accounting don't really bother me, though I bombed Pre-Calc. I was also kinda too young, I didn't take math classes seriously until I matured a bit.
English I tend to naturally excel in, but I wasn't a fan of the advanced classes. Just extra work which I didn't have enough time to process. History was my thing, I suddenly would become very outgoing once class started. I took seven World Language classes in high school not because I was great, but because they were so fun.
