Since the start of the human species, we have witnessed the creation and destruction (e.g the environment, extinction of different species) of many things over time. What is your opinion of this topic? Are humans better at creation or destruction?
I personally think humans are better at creation. Over the course of several millennia, we have collectively developed a high-functioning, innovative society that prospers growth and supports sustainable living. It's incredible to think of how much the human species has achieved. We've developed languages and cultures that are unique to different areas, sent people into space, created the finest art/entertainment and developed an abundance of different goods which benefit our lives in many ways.
The challenge now is how we are going to co-exist with AI technology and how we can continue to develop the technology without it being detrimental to human existence. It's crucial that we get this right, otherwise it will have dire consequences which we, as a species, may never truly recover from.

Human creation actually mostly equals to destruction. The "high-functioning, innovative society" was exactly created in spite of all the negative consequences, on nature specifically. There's no denying that if humans never existed, the earth would look a lot better. That being said, I believe it's all about nuances and balance, most things aren't simply black and white and most progressions come with their hardships (we for example wouldn't be as technologically advanced as we are now if WWII didn't happen), and I do believe in the human race doing wonders as long as it takes the best parts of past mistakes/misunderstandings, learn from them and try to correct where it is possible.

The human race is the most destructive creature on the planet. It even destroys its own species.

Definitely destruction.
Look at the atrocities done by the Nazis, Communists, and basically any other tyrant in history. Worst of all, there are still a lot of people who sympathize with their worldview.

We're slowly becoming more destructive, honestly. Intelligence is actually destroying the world and I believe it will in the long run. With my bias, we shouldn't advance pass the 2000s Humans are more destructive with potential at being creative.
