Out of any day I chose to come to Orange, it had to be when parts of the Central West received it's highest total rainfall in years.  The drive from Katoomba onwards was absolutely miserable. When I was driving through Lithgow, it was raining so hard that you could barely see anything in front of you! It only reached a maximum of about 15C here in Orange today. This is what is forecast for Orange tomorrow: 4th May
* Mostly Sunny * Day: 13C * Night: 4C Mind you, I won't actually be in Orange for most of the day tomorrow (if the weather is fine).

It reached a maximum of 27C here today. 27C, in late May! What is the world coming to. It's not the first time it got this warm in late May in Sydney & surrounds. On 25th May 1994 (almost exactly 25 years ago in fact), Sydney reached a top of 28°C, whilst it reached 28.3°C in Wollongong & 28.7°C in Richmond (there was no weather station in Penrith at the time). More recently, 5 years ago, Sydney recorded 4 days in a row where temps were 25°C & above, spanning from 22nd to 25th May 2014, peaking at 27.1°C on the 22nd. On 23rd May that year, Albion Park reached a top of 27°C. It was the warmest May on record to date for Sydney, in which its average maximum temperature for the month was 23.2°C. I can remember when Sydney and the Illawarra had that run of temperatures above 25C five years ago.

Nice picture! Not much I can say about our weather lately. Just really cold (it is Winter after all, I guess ). My condolences! We had a divine spring weekend here. On Friday June 7th the high was 27°C, 24°C on Saturday and 26°C today on Sunday, and sunny throughout!
