While parts of New South Wales are burning. I have seen bits of the footage on the news. Devastating stuff. Unfortunately events like this are only going to be more common and get worse the longer no action is taken. To think, all our PM had to offer was the usual “thoughts and prayers” nonsense.

" Winter is coming". You should move here so you can experience the joys of having Christmas in Summer.

" Winter is coming". You should move here so you can experience the joys of having Christmas in Summer. It should still be in the winter. BTW, what would you think of this kinda weather? I think we're gonna be using the December 23-26 package because it's less expensive than 26-29, and it's less cold than 26-29, and I'm worried it would be too humid despite the mild temperatures: darksky.net/details/25.0478,121.5319/2018-12-23/si12/en I heard the winter humidity in Taiwan makes it feels colder than it otherwise would, because it creates a damp feeling.

This morning would have had to have been the worst the smoke haze from the bushfires has been. It was instantly noticeable the moment I walked out the front door to go to work this morning and by the time I finished my shift just over an hour later, not only could I actually taste the smoke, but it was also leaving me feeling light-headed. My eyes were also stinging from how thick the smoke haze was. It's becoming unbearable.

The past two days there has been a noticeable haze over Auckland (although still nothing like I experienced in Sydney). Meanwhile, it looks like Victoria and Tasmania have been in mid-winter recently, Ive seen reports it was snowing over there with cold temperatures.

The South Island has copped the worst of the smoke apparently.

California weather sucks sun balls. Sometimes, it is too hot and other days, it is too cold. The weather is never the correct one. Also, we dont get a lot of rain, so that creates droughts as we dealt with a 6-year drought this decade. It must have really sucked for those 7-year olds born in California who have never experienced rain before kindergarten.

It will be -18°C tomorrow night. That's as cold as the average freezer. Unlike your freezer, however, there's a windchill that will make it feel like -27°C.

Gee, talk about extremes; we're expected to get to 38C here tomorrow. Parts of Sydney could even reach as high as 45C! So while you're battling with freezer conditions, we have to deal with 'oven' conditions (just kidding).

It is just over 40°C in Melbourne right now, there's going to be a cool change but it is getting hotter again on Friday. The forecast for my location is: Today: 41°C Tomorrow: 25°C Friday: 43°C Saturday: 26°C Talk about inconsistency, it certainly is the stereotypical Melbourne weather!

Good thing you don’t live further inland like Mildura! 45C tomorrow followed by 47C on Friday. They receive a much needed cool change with 36C on Saturday.
