Actually Sydney is quite interesting in that some years the temperatures they experience would make them a Cfb (Temperate) climate and some years would make it a Cfa (Humid) climate, just depends on whether they are having an above or below average year in terms of temperatures. From what ive seen for the most part, Newcastle and North is Cfa, Wollongong and South is Cfb and the area in between (Sydney region) could be either. But like you said Newcastle being in a different climate zone to Wollongong but in the same as Rockhampton doesnt make sense, so it is flawed. And Koppens isnt even the only system they have, theres many more for example Trewartha so on. I personally dont like Koppens because it groups the whole of New Zealand in one climate zone which is wrong. For example Griffith, NSW is classified as Semi-Arid whereas Central Otago towns in NZ like Alexandra receive even less rainfall than Griffith yet aren't classified as semi-arid? I recall looking through darksky.net and there was this one time in January-February 2016 where it was 41 C in Sydney and like 34 or 35 C in Wollongong. Yeah that makes total sense. Although it can be even more localised. For example one time I was in the Bondi area it was about 33/34C, while it was 41C in Parramatta. Thats only 29km away. Its all about proximity to the ocean/seabreeze.

I don't believe what i'm seeing. As I am posting this, it's almost midday up there and for once, Darwin's current temperature is below 28C! Darwinians must be freezing at the moment.

I would be basking in it TBH. I have a surprisingly low heat tolerance, and it has become this way after moving to a house where the bedroom faces the sun and especially after buying an AC unit with an inverter, which means I could turn it on for maybe 17 hours a day and it would barely make a dent on the electric bill.

Yesterday I had to drive through heavy snowfall in pitch-black darkness through a pine forest between Lithgow and Bathurst while my car was struggling to change gears. The snow was so thick that my wipers weren't actually working properly! Now I know what it is like to be Canadian.

Honestly, we've had to pretty strange weather in Victoria recently. We don't usually get snow at the end of September. The weather's supposed to be warming up, but we're getting snow instead.

We're heading back into Winter over the weekend! """Winter""" You're just jelly that we don't experience an ice age every Winter like Richmond Hill does. When we start to open our borders to non-Kiwis, maybe you should move down here and choose to live amongst the spiders.

www.abc.net.au/news/2018-05-15/going-troppo-what-evidence-is-there/9747436 OMG, this really explains why I was so crabby earlier today before I had taken a bath and turned on the air conditioner. (And honestly, this all carried on for a few hours later, but it was the heat that made it worse, if not caused it, in the first place.) Actually, it wasn't that hot, but the dewpoints were almost the same as the temperatures. (There's a typhoon today.)

It’s gonna be in the 70s this week here in Omaha, NE. That NEVER happens. It might break the record for the warmest it’s been here for this time of the year. I mean, it feels really nice, not gonna lie. It is worrying, though.

It's 9.30pm, and it's still 30C here. My area reached a maximum of 41C this afternoon and we're expected to reach 36C tomorrow.

I thought I would do what @zampakid normally does and take a video of a distant thunderstorm last night. This is looking north towards Wollongong. I'm so sick of this hot and humid weather. It feels like we're living in the tropics at the moment.
