That's an insane amount of rain Stay safe! Thanks. I escaped most of it. To 9am this morning, 130mm was recordsed in the 24hr period (a further 1mm recorded during today). In the process, this has long beaten old records. Here’s some amazing videos:

Here’s some videos: Damn, people abandoned their cars A rather interesting article from the ABC talking about the Winter of 1836 - the day it (apparently) snowed in Sydney: www.abc.net.au/news/2018-05-11/the-day-it-snowed-in-sydney/9743600Personally I agree with Graham Creed - Sydney is highly unlikely to ever see snow again knowing the trends of increasingly warmer weather (for instance, Sydney got up to something like 28°C on July 30 last year - breaking a maximum temperature record for July which had been set in 1990) during June, July and August in recent years. One thing is for certain though - in the extremely unlikely chance there's even a remote possibility of snow in Sydney again, it'll probably be a very major talking point in the local media (knowing their journalistic standards I can just imagine The Daily Telegraph having "SNOW IN SYDNEY" in big bold letters followed by "...might happen if it gets cold enough next Thursday" in smaller text on a front page! ) for a week or two before it happens! I'd be content with not seeing snow again for 200 years. --- The warm weather here was rudely interrupted by a cold snap. It was a maximum of 20c yesterday but it dropped to 2c in the evening, and the high for today is a mere 11c. Not that I mind, it's generally pleasant weather and great for the cherry blossoms I'm going to go see.

They were parked on the side of the streets for the night (some however, were caught in the flood waters with usual moronic drivers trying to drive through them despite warnings not to do so ).

Warm (25c) and sunny here too The weather has settled into a bit of a pattern, which is very unusual for spring. Usually 18-23c in the daytime and around 10c at night. It hasn't rained in almost two weeks either, which is also unusual for our stormy springs. I think a dry spring portends a hot summer!

Wow, Richmond Hill is actually warmer than it is here at the moment (it's 18C at my location), which is a rarity.

The average maximum for Richmond Hill in May is 19c, and for Wollongong it's 20c. So it's around now that our streams cross and it'll be our turn for hot weather

It finally rained, after two weeks! That's gotta be some record for May (where we average 14 rainy days).
Pleasantly warm (23c) with spring showers today.
