With the weather we've been getting lately, unfortunately I would not be overly surprised if Sydney (and indeed most of NSW) continues to receive hotter and drier than average conditions during Spring & Summer. I think today it got up to the mid-twenties in Sydney. Even taking into consideration there was that day where it reached 28 degrees or so around this time last year, quite concerning for Late July!

I agree. If i'm not mistaken, Sydney is expected to experience temperatures in the Early-Mid 20s for most of this week. This never would have been the case just 5-10 years ago.

30th July High: 26°C / Low: 17°C. Sunny, then cloudy, then thunderstorm with significant rainfall. It's been raining so much the past few weeks. This awful pot for one of the plants in my yard doesn't remove the water if the soil is saturated. The poor plant keeps drowning. And I watered it meticulously for about 2 months.

31st July High: 27°C / Low: 20°C. Mostly cloudy, slightly humid (dewpoint: 20°C) Looks like we're going to get another heatwave on the August long weekend. Hopefully temperatures don't push 40°C like in the July long weekend

1st August High: 26°C / Low: 18°C. Overcast. The fact I didn't see the sun at all today reminds me why I hate winter/autumn and should appreciate summer despite it being a bit uncomfortable every now and then
