When did you start disliking school, when did you start feel like that school sucked? For me 6th grade was when i started to hate school, because of annoying kids and crapload of work but mostly the annoying kids.

Middle school in general sucked the joy and the high hopes out of me about school, yet every new year I always had high hopes that the year would be better 😂

The last two years of high school were definitely the best compared to the first 5.

Around 5th grade when teachers were trying to prepare us for middle school. As a result, we got more work and less freetime, cause that's middle school.

With the exception of the first few months after I started High School, i'm not sure if there was ever a time where I truly disliked going to school. Of course, I much preferred to be home than having to go to school, but it was never to the extent where I absolutely dreaded going there.

Hmm. I'd say the first week saw me out. In all seriousness though, after the first couple of years of High School I was pretty much over it. I wanted to be more hands-on instead.

I disliked school in 1st grade, when my day went from 3 hours in the afternoon to 6 hours from morning to afternoon. I got so impatient in class that my mum switched me to a special-ed for a few years before the school year even ended. Soon after that, I was happy to attend school again, but around college, especially my final semester, I felt I had learned as much as I really needed to think for myself and was just plain impatient to start living by my own rules and without having to fret about grades.

I'm just curious to know, what are special-ed schools in the US like? Do the people in special-ed schools study the same unit of work as what is taught in elementary and middle schools or is it different? Given it's name, I was always under the impression that special-ed schools were a non-mainstream place of learning for people with learning difficulties or special needs, but it seems like they are not as "niche" as what I had thought.

I'll probably be on my own here, but I never disliked school. I loved school. Best times of my life. Study, play, study, play, ad infinitum. What's there to not like?

2nd year of middle school was just crappy, and my 1st year of high school was extremely difficult for me and made me hate courses I previously didn't mind like math and physics.
My last year of high school was dope tho
