I'm going to admit, one of the reasons I was initially skeptical about SharksFan99 making his own forum back in 2017 was I felt it would create a slippery slope of making other users want to and go out to create their own forum as well. I'm glad Popedia has had the time to establish itself as a daily-active forum before The Hangout Shack was created, and I also give props to @drincognito for making this thread to help deter the spread of new forums that try to be the next Popedia. I'm going to be painfully honest, Popedia should stay the youngest active forum for the GenDec crowd since most of them also have accounts on inthe00s and Personality Cafe, and even on Reddit, IGN, and City Data. 3-6 forum sites are enough for one person. Creating another forum that tries to follow in Popedia's footsteps shows that you're just a follower trying to be a leader, you're taking baby steps in the footsteps of SharksFan99 without any energy to make it all the way, while simultaneously trying to lead Popedia's core crowd that is likely going to taunt and ridicule you, you're losing credibility by trying to be credible. If you want to make a site of your own, go to blogspot and make a blog. That's what I did, and I recommend other users do as well. As for Wobo, I have noticed that he has been acting out quite a bit. At first I thought this was just a personal feud with Tim, as both of them have traded barbs plenty of times, but now, I honestly think he's having some sort of a mental breakdown. I do think that if he ever wants to rejoin Popedia, he should address a sincere apology before he starts posting again. Also, I'm going to be very honest here, and I know a lot of users, especially younger, will disagree with me on this, but I wish the universal age limit for joining internet sites was 15 instead of 13, and I've actually had this view for a few years now. The problem is that many 13-14-year-olds are still generally immature mentally and emotionally as preteens are, this type of behavior is especially coherent among this age bracket on YouTube. That's just my view though, I'm not at all suggesting SharksFan99 raise the age limit 15 (not before inthe00s, Personality Cafe, Reddit, IGN, and City Data all do it first, especially since they have an older core userbase), and I do know that there are 13 and 14-year-olds on this site that do try to be a better example, and I definitely welcome their presence on this site. I'm fine with Popedia having a younger audience, just as long as they're mature enough to not stir up unnecessary drama that gives a bad name to our community. Because of this whole situation you're assuming i'm mental? Okay then. You need to stop taking everything so seriously and causing unnecessary drama. This is why nobody here wants to join your forum.

Wobo has been busy joining a gazillion other forums in the last week or 2. Is there an actual problem with that? My guess is he must be joining sites so he can promote his forum in his signature... Ordinarily no. If that is his only reason though, he has set himself up for a big failure. No one will join and all the forums will just ban him.

You have allowed a 9 year old to remain on the forum. Might be an idea to read the Proboards TOS Or at least someone who is supposedly a 9-year-old. Whether he's 9 years old or posing as a 9 year old, both are a means for banning.

I'm fine with Popedia having a younger audience, just as long as they're mature enough to not stir up unnecessary drama that gives a bad name to our community. That's something I was concerned might happen as well. To be honest, I don't think we will need to be too worried about people getting the inspiration to create a forum to rival Popedia. Of course, we can't rule out it ever happening again in the future, but I think the likelihood of people going to the same extremities as Wobo are slim. I'm definitely not opposed to the idea of forums competing against Popedia, but as long as they don't set out to cannibalise Popedia's forum community. The main intention of The Hangout Club was to try and encourage Popedia members to move over to that platform instead. I know Wobo has denied that was the case, but in my personal opinion, I think there's enough evidence to at least question that, especially considering how blatantly similar the forum was to Popedia. In regards to raising the age limit, it's a complicated matter. I can definitely see the argument for raising the age limit, but i'm not sure if it would truly be beneficial. It's really more of a case by case basis and I don't want to taint every 13-14 year old with the same brush. As you said, there are 13 and 14 years olds on Popedia who are mature enough to be participating on here. It would be a real shame if 13-14 year olds were unable to join forum communities, simply because of a minority who are too immature and irresponsible.

I personally don't think that raising the age limit to 15 would make a difference IMO. People can simply always lie about their age or better yet not give it away. Also, the problem with that age limit is that there are actually a good chunk of 13 and 14-year-olds who are actually mature and don't cause a lot of drama. I think it's quite unfair to say that 13-14-year-olds are generally too immature mentally and emotionally because you'd be surprised by how many of them don't cause a lot of drama and are respectful. Wobo is just sensitive and doesn't have thick skin, and that is more than likely just apart of his personality.

Wobo is just sensitive and doesn't have thick skin, and that is more than likely just apart of his personality. I know what you mean, but it still isn't an excuse to launch personal attacks at others though. I can sort of relate to that aspect of Wobo's personality, because i'll admit, I can really take things to heart as well. A few years ago, I used to get easily offended by posts if it went against what I personally believed in and in some cases, I would vent my frustration out on others. However, with that said, I never made comments along the lines of "f*** ____" or "____ is a ****", like Wobo has on a number of occasions. Wobo's behaviour hasn't been acceptable at all. Anyway, I've decided to ban him for an indefinite amount of time. I just think that is in the best interests of Wobo and Popedia, for the time being.

Im gonna be completely honest here, im not going to miss Wobo at all. Ive never really interacted with him at all because I never felt as though I could have a logical or thoughtful discussion with him, this is not only because of the lack of maturity in his posts (Yes guys, I know I like to piss around) and the fact that the (very) few times I did interact with him, he came across as very arrogant and rude, especially considering I barely knew the guy. Anyways, as stated above I personally think that 15 should be the minimum age requirement to join forums. Personally, 15 was when I started using forums frequently and I think if I was on here at 13, I would've created alot of unnecessary drama and just troll in every thread

I think I might lock this thread. I know Wobo is responsible for The Hangout Crib, but I don't think we should be publicly talking about him without him being aware of it (since he has been indefinitely banned).
Edit: Wobo was banned over the offensive comments he made on rainbow's quiz, as well as his past incidents on the forum.
