This would fit more with 2016 than 2013:

Unlike other Paramore songs, this strongly emulates alternative rock sounds and structure, ending it really sounding like a mainstream rock hit released 10 years too late. Even the video with its yellowish tint and overexposure looks straight out of the late 90s.

Is it me or does the original theme from Doctor Who from 1963 sound 20 years ahead of its time, almost like early 80s synthpop?

Found this song in a “Songs ahead of their time” playlist on YouTube. I dunno about that.

Found this song in a “Songs ahead of their time” playlist on YouTube. I dunno about that. Eh, it sounds very much like typical late 70s soft rock. "Baker Street" from the same year on the other hand is much more progressive in comparison and sort of predicts the sophisti-pop trend of the 80s:

I’d say 1981 is a little late to put out a song like this...

Could this jump blues record from 1946 quite possibly be considered the very first rock song? I know now where Chuck Berry got the influence for "Roll over Beethoven" and "Johnny B Goode".

This was a huge hit in 1968, but this sounds like it would fit far better with the soft rock hits if the early 70s rather than the psychedelia-dominated charts of the late 60s.

Almost everything recorded in the first half 1988 that sounds like it was released in 1985-mid 1987.

It feels in place in the second half of 1988 when the template for that kind of sound and similar sounding songs was there. It sounds very similar to music from 1989- mid 1992 than 1985-1987. This song was played next to other house tracks, hip house, acid house complications and clubs and was quite popular in general and I have it on like a number of cd complications from 1988-1989.
