I wanna say both 2005 and 2006 so bad but I think I'll give the edge to 2005. Culturally, 2006 definitely felt like somewhat a watered down 2005, especially since that year brought a lot rising late 2000s trends that didn't really exist at all in 2005, so I think that'll make sense. But school year-wise, 2005-06' hands down. Even over 2004-05' imo. Now in terms of the school year, I 100% agree with this. I think 2005-2006 was peak 2000s. There actually were plenty of late 2000s things that began in 2005 but they were not really popular yet. Johnny Test and The Office premiered in 2005. The Guitar Hero franchise started in 2005. Club Penguin started in 2005. But all of those things really didn't become big until 2006 at the earliest, mostly 2007-2008 is when they were all popular.

The Summer in 2005 felt super 2000s more than any other summer in my opinion I have some decent memory of Summer 2005 since my brother was born at the time. For some reason Summer 2005 had this wild wild west feeling

Here is my ranking of top 5 most 2000s summers 1) 2005 2) 2006 3) 2004 4) 2002 5) 2003 What about Summer 2007? The peak of MySpace and ringtone rap.Pretty crappy Summer, felt super watered down and downgraded, A few reasons why I felt Summer 2007 was not on par with the others 1) The Chris Benoit murder suicides that dominated the news2) I was not a fan of Facebook catching steam as fast as it did ( it felt super corporate) despite Myspace still dominating 3) Timbaland fatigue was starting to set in4) PlayStation 3 did absolutely nothing, sat on the shelf until 2009's slim version5) No WB this summer ( The CW felt hollow)6) The Iphone launch felt super dark and digital ( obsession with having internet on you everywehere) despite Blackberry Pear and Sidekick being out7) AOL AIM's new design was so wack, I HATED IT8) Windows Vista was a nightmare to deal with, I regret ever downloading that OS9) The 2000s in general was feeling long in the tooth10) Was not impressed by the movie selection this Summer, Simpsons movie sucked, Transformers was "ok" at best11) Was not a fan of the "new" style of comedy movies like Superbad and esp Jonah Hill12) MTV's TRL even tho lost it's luster was now pretty much a pre taped show, no reason to even stick by the TV in the afternoon( Especially because at this time Music videos were being leaked online youtube before MTV even got them)13) Was not a fan of The Sopranos actually ending, or the ending of the final episode14 ) I was pissed King of Queens ended 13) MYSPACE VIRUS
This is a major one^ a myspace virus ruled the whole summer of 2007 , basically it was a comment chain in the comments part of your profile, if you clicked it your whole myspace got infected, so many peoples accounts got hacked back then, this is never talked about but was a HUGE deal lol it made going to myspace less fun at the time.

I totally get what you mean and I agree. Facebook can go fuck itself.

Myspace was 101% more popular than Facebook, but during Spring 2007 Facebook was getting that Q4 2004 Myspace buzz, it caught on really fast. If you watch Steve Job's Apple Presentation in 2007 he even shouts out Facebook Facebook did beat Myspace in 2009, but in reality Facebook was catching up really fast as soon as 2007 hit. It was being talked about on TV and IRL, also if you go to someones profile on Facebook look @ their first post, it's usually from Early 2007.
