Lil Tay is a recent Internet phenomenon who became famous for being the youngest "flexer". However, she does not really seem to be a nice person at all based on the videos I have watched of her. She is only nine and tries to act like she's a powerful, tough, and rich superstar.
I do not like her at all.

What a spoiled little brat. This is why kids shouldn't have social media.

She got her mother fired and tried to throw shade at Danielle Bregoli. She's not a real flexer, she's not even in her double digits yet!

I think Lil Tay is the perfect representation of one of the most toxic aspects of this decade. People doing whatever it takes to gain attention on social media and in real life. Her, Jake Paul, and Ricegum are all obsessed with "flexing" on other people with the money that they got from attention whoring and pandering towards little kids.

On the other hand though I do feel kinda bad for Lil Tay. Apparently its her 16 year old brother that actually instructs her and records the videos. Its sad how easily and often kids are exploited nowadays.

Social media has changed the way we interact and behave in real life. Kids of today have easier access to information than any generation before. These celebrities and YouTubers you see are obsessed with "flexing" looking good, acting tough, etc. Kids have easy access to these type of things. Parents have to take responsibility and watch what their children are looking at, but of course some parents are too lazy and give their children devices as a substitute for real life interaction.

I know this is an old post now, but I agree. The trouble is, it's likely only going to get worse over the coming years, as social media and VR technology are becoming greater integrated into our daily lives. I remember reading a statistic only a few days ago which said something like 90-91% of kids between the ages of 6-12 have a presence on at least one social media site, which is pretty alarming.

Don't know what flexing is and care even less. Have never heard of Lil Tay and have no wish to indulge her ego. I don't like precocious little brats anyway. The only YouTube kids I like are Gabe and Garrett as they seem nice, humble well adjusted kids.

That's interesting to know. Still, I personally think it's inappropriate for someone of her age to be engaging in that type of content.

Another 'famous for no bloody reason' candidate.
Reality show chancers, YouTubers and those famous merely by association with a genuinely famous person are not celebrities.
