What would you consider to be Channel Nine's "golden era"? I personally believe it started around 1978, with the introduction of the memorable "Still The One" slogan. As for when it concluded, I would say that the "golden era" ended on the day of Kerry Packer's passing; 26th December 2005. Despite the network's efforts, Channel Nine has never been quite the same since Kerry Packer passed away, IMO.

IMHO, the Golden Era for Channel Nine would be from the 1980's until 2005. After Kerry Packer Passed Away, the network ratings went 'down the toilet' which was all due to them dropping the dots.

I agree. I think the overall quality of programming dropped after Kerry Packer passed away as well. Although, Eddie McGuire being appointed CEO didn't help matters!
