2012 and 2016 seems to be the two most hated years on the forums both being election years. 2016 is the clear winner since Trump is universally hated by the mainstream media. The fact people in Australia were scared of him says a lot in how much influence we have on the world. Americans couldn't give two craps about other world leaders ex Putin and the N Korea leader. I'm one of the few Americans that has a general knowledge on Canada even though I live no where near the Canadian border. Living in the most powerful nation on Earth does has its benifits.Almost everything you listed in that paragraph is negative. I don't see those apparent 'benefits'.

I tend to not use the word 'hate', but I think that the beginning of 2011 ws not a great time for myself. I'm fond of 2010, 2012-2013 & 2015 but 2014, 16, & 17 just don't carry that same nostalgic/happy feeling. Sorry to hear about 2011 not being a great time for you personally. In regards to 2017, it might still be a bit too recent at the present time.

Yeah too true, but there were quite a few things I didn't like about the year too. Some parts were great, others were the worst.
