I came across this topic on reddit and I thought it was quite interesting. In such a scenario, you would be reliving a certain year over and over again, however you wouldn't have to experience the year the same way each time. It would basically be like a new year each time, however the world/pop culture wouldn't change. For instance, if you decided to choose 2017, once the year comes to an end, it would revert back to the 1st January 2017 and you would get to relive 2017 for the next twelve months. I hope that makes sense. For me personally, it's hard to say. 2001 would be the most ideal choice, but the disadvantage to that would be the September 11 Attacks. As much as I love the '90s, i'm not sure if I would actually choose to relive a certain year of the decade, only because it would result in never experiencing the Early 2000s. If I had to choose a year though, 2001 would be my preference and then maybe 1999 or 2000 would be my second choice.

Any year between 1999-2003 I'd want to re-live. If I had to pick one year in particular though it would probably be 2001. Almost every aspect of the pop culture of 2001 was really good.

So you can choose a year you didn't even lived through or ? Probably would go with 2015 because I was in a very confy yet exciting, though tbh I don't really like the concept of "repeatedly living through a year" because whatever you pick it will get boring after a while

Yeah, it can be of any year, even a year you haven't lived through.

Any year from 1995-2012. My ideal picks would be:
1995
2003
2004
2005
2006 (I really like mid-2000s culture)
2010
2011
2012

Would I immediately be transported back to where I was when the clock struck midnight on January 1, 2017 each time the year started over? Kind of like a Groundhog Day situation but with an entire year instead of just a day? If that were the case, I'd say 2010. Otherwise, I would probably go with 2015. I absolutely hated the year in my personal life as I experienced it, but if I could have been under different circumstances it probably would have been one of the best years of my life.

I was thinking more along the lines that pop-culture (and political/social changes) would switch back to how it was at the beginning of the year, each time the clock strikes midnight on the 1st January. It would pretty much be a continuous loop, although it wouldn't have an effect on someone's personal life.
