A thread for sharing any nostalgia you have of your school years.
I just remembered this random song that we used to have to sing back in Kindergarten and Year 1. It went like this: Ms Sue, Ms Sue. Ms Sue from Parramatta, Hey you, Scooby Doo,Your Mamma's got the measles, your Daddy's got the flu,Magic measles, magic fluTake a A,B,C,D,E,F,GTake a H,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,PTake a smooth shot, take a smooth shotNow FREEZE!Everyone used to freeze on the spot once the song was over. It's sad that I still remember the words to it.

Whenever it's a rainy day at school and it's too wet to go out at recess/lunch my teachers would roll out the TV/VCR to watch a film.

I recall that 2-5 years ago, my classmates would troll me a lot because I was overly open about my online activity, do things like, leave embarrassing comments on the pages of my admitted crushes. (Phew, I was really saved by the bell, was I? And by bell, I mean differing time zones. )

Most of the classrooms at my primary school didn't have a TV/VCR in them, so we either went into the designated "video room" (it was a small room which had an analogue TV, a VCR and a PS2 that was only ever used for Singstar ) or we watched something on the projector in the school hall. We used to watch Round The Twist, Behind the News and The Magic School Bus.

A lot of times we would watch Round The Twist (mostly in Year 3), The Magic School Bus, BTN, and as a regular staple Scooby Doo (2002 film). Sometimes we would watch films that teachers would bring in from their personal collection (i.e A Channel Nine recording of Richie Rich from 1998 with ads! ).

The best school trip I ever undertook was to Bourton On The Water, Gloucestershire in 1969.

Here are a few funny things I can remember from my time in primary and high school: * During a lunch break in Year 5, one of my friends and I wanted to kick a soccer ball around in the back playground, but the only sports equipment left to use was a basketball, so we stupidly decided to kick the basketball around. We only had it for a few minutes, until I accidentally booted the basketball over the school fence. A car that was driving along the side street ran it over, which made the basketball explode. We had no choice but to go to the teacher who was on playground duty and ask her to get the popped basketball that was on the road. After that, we went to the sports equipment teacher and showed him the popped basketball. He called us both "boofheads" and told us to chuck the basketball in the bin, but I decided to keep it and I still have it to this day. I'll upload a photo of it tomorrow. * In my Year 9 English class, we all had to present a presentation/speech in front of everyone else in the class. There wasn't enough time to hear everyone's presentation within the one hour, so myself and three other kids in my class had to go back to the classroom during our lunch break and present it in front of our teacher. Even though my speech went two minutes overtime and I presented it in front of just three people, I got the top mark in the class (19/20). Everyone else in my class was ripped off.

What on Earth is a "boofhead"? It's a slang term for someone who is an idiot.

When the computer lab teacher say it's 'free-time'.
I had fond memories of playing Kid Pix, Bugdom, Cro-Mag Rally and Nanosour in Kindergarten.

Kid Pix was one of my favourite games when I was in Kindergarten - Year 2. I would always go on it when I was "finishing" off classwork on the computer. Speaking of computer games, i'm not sure if you ever played this game when you were at school, but one of the most popular computer games at my school was Marble Blast.

Yeah, I've definitely played that game. It was quite a popular computer game at my primary school, when it was 'free-time' it's like a full-on Marble Blast party going on!
