By September 1, 2026, it will officially be twenty years since the world had the biggest change in history.
I will probably just bow my head to remember everything that was lost on that infamous day.

I was about to say I have no idea what I'm doing on September 1, 2018 and this is probably sad but I just googled to find out what happened on that day in 2006 and nada. I'm confused.

I'll just have a memorial of the day that changed history forever. oh for sure.... there definitely needs to be some sort of commemoration for such a remarkable point in our history. In fact, I remember the day itself. It was a sunny Friday morning and I was in Year 2 at primary school. That morning there was a big announcement at assembly that we needed to hold a memorial in the school hall for the passing of the classic 2000s, everyone was hysterical. It was open casket - so we could say our goodbyes.

Yeah...I'm not aware of anything significant happening on the first day of (the Southern Hemisphere) Spring of 2006.
Also to answer the question which is the title of this thread: I've got absolutely no idea what I'll be doing in eight years, four weeks and one day time.

Also to answer the question which is the title of this thread: I've got absolutely no idea what I'll be doing in eight years, four weeks and one day time. The thread is intended to be a tongue-in-cheek reference to an inside-joke on the Pop-Culture boards of our forum. The joke is that everything (music, movies, TV shows etc.) supposedly changed on the 1st September 2006, an event infamously known as the "Late 2006 Shift". There are a lot of people on the internet who genuinely believe that such a shift actually occurred, when of course, there wasn't. As a result, the "Late 2006 Shift" has essentially become a bit of a meme and it's talked about in a light-hearted manner. The thread was asking other members how they will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 'event'.

Still means nothing to me, Rex. I'd lost all interest in pop culture by then. I didn't even go online until 2007. I'm too old for modern popular culture so it all goes over my head.
