I thought this might be an interesting topic of discussion. Do you drink alcohol? If you are under the legal age, do you plan on drinking alcohol once you are old enough to?
As for myself, I personally refuse to drink alcohol. I never had any alcohol on my 18th birthday and I have yet to actually try alcohol, despite being of legal age. Without going into a lot of detail, I have had a few negative alcohol-related experiences through my childhood and adolescence. Those experiences have turned me off from ever wanting to drink alcohol.

It's a no for me. I took one sip of beer and my body immediately disagreed with it, not going to detail on what happened so I'll let you imagine what happened...! Since then, I did not touch any alcohol.

I had a small sip of beer this fourth of July. It tasted weird to me lol.
I'd only drink wine and beer in moderation (like at huge parties or events) and definitely not too much.

I used to drink, but resolved to stop earlier this year and have been successful at that.

Yeah. Although it depends on my personal life. If I have alot going on and a ton of assignments due like I have currently, then I don't usually drink. However during the holidays for example I would drink, its just like why wouldn't you? (Drink responsibly kids)

Since then, I did not touch any alcohol. I'm not sure how true this is, but from what I've heard, it's quite common for people to dislike alcohol when they try it for the first time.

I haven't, and probably will not. I may have some later in life, but not now or in the near future.
I know some kids who have been drinking since twelve, and it's such a peer pressure to 'do it'.

I had my first drink at the age of 12 but I was raised with drink and know how to be sensible. I find these 'Drink responsibly' messages to be unnecessary and patronising. Just because a few are idiots doesn't mean we all are.

Well I just shared a beer with my mom so I'd be lying to say it's a straight no. But I pretty much choose not to. It makes me feel like crap and I grew up around it enough that it's already lame and frustrating to me.

I'm planning on avoiding drinking entirely, the most alcohol I've ever had was a sip of beer when I was 9.
I've also had some negative alcohol-related experiences throughout my childhood and adolescence, which makes the idea of drinking alcohol very revolting to me. I'm fine with others drinking as long as it doesn't lead to anything negative (such as alcoholism), but I'm definitely planning on avoiding drinking alcohol.

There's this guy I know who somehow always has a few cans of beer when I go over to his house, so I've tried it a couple of times. I'm not a fan though and I've never been drunk.

I know some kids who have been drinking since twelve, and it's such a peer pressure to 'do it'. Yeah, there are a lot of 12/13 year olds who do consume alcohol, unfortunately. A lot of the time their parents don't care about it either, so they can get away with drinking as little or as much as they like. I had my first drink at the age of 12 but I was raised with drink and know how to be sensible. I find these 'Drink responsibly' messages to be unnecessary and patronising. Just because a few are idiots doesn't mean we all are. I can see the point you're making, but I personally think they are necessary if we want to change the drinking culture. The 'Drink responsibly' messages may be patronising to a degree and they may be perceived as stating the obvious, however, they do encourage people to have second thoughts about how much alcohol they are consuming.

I choose to not drink alcohol, I have never been really interested in drinking alcohol either. Overall, I have similar reasons to many people here, I always had bad exeriences being around drunk people as a kid and in my adolescence.
