To me yea its childhood because most 12 year olds dont have the mentality of real teens which i think is 14-17 Every 12-year-old is different though. I feel like my 12 and 13-year-old self-had the same mentality, but I felt more "mature" when I turned 14. Age 11 felt like the last true year of my childhood.

Well yes because its under the age of 13. Technically anything under 13 is a kid. If you are talking physically then 12 is a preteen

Not everyone is the same. I know someone whos 13 that is more mature than a 16 year old. Is he anymore of a kid than him?

Like i said before 12/13 is not a day and night difference. 13 year olds arent worried about jobs, high school and college yet. A 13 year old doesnt have as much rights as people in their mid or late teens. Peoples mindsets dont change overnight the day they turn 13. Once you start high school you become a real teen

Are you sure about that? I'm 13 and I feel like a kid still. I still felt like a kid at age 13 as well, even though it was my first year of High School. However, on the same token, there were people in my year group who had already physically and mentally developed into teenagers by that point. Everyone is different.

I still felt like a kid at 13 but it wasn't like my childhood anymore because I wasn't playing with dolls or doing "kid kid" stuff anymore. I just felt like an immature teenaged kid if that makes sense.

Btw i am not suggesting 13 is childhood but 13 is still a kid I think age 13 can best be summed up as being an awkward, transitional age between childhood and adolescence. People go through puberty at different stages, so age 13 may still seem like childhood for some people but not for others.

That makes sense. You can be a kid but also not be in your childhood anymore. That's basically how I felt at age 13 as well. It was kind of strange though, because the fact that it was my first year of High School made me feel like I was a teen at that point as well. Honestly, age 13 is such a horrible age to start High School. At least Middle School exists in the US, so it's more of a gradual transition.

You're tween years a transitional era imo. You start as an immature kid and end as a stereotypical teenager.

I consider 12 childhood, but just not in a traditional sense since your usually more aware of the world and pop culture at that point. At age 12 I still felt like a kid even though I was listening to rap music and watching adult swim at that age. I still enjoyed watching kid shows like Bakugan Pokemon and Disney Channel. When I turned 13 I felt more like a teenager since all the shows from my main childhood either went off the air or went downhill. 13 at the of the day is not much different than 12 but I can see why people feel more teenage-like at 12 than pure kid-like. Heck I know teenagers who still refer to themselves as little kids.
