Carly Rae Jepsen was unavoidable in 2012. Even my DAD liked "Call Me Maybe". Now nobody really hears about her anymore. She sadly can be counted as a one-hit wonder since nothing except CMM really broke the mold in her discography. "I Really Like You" almost did it in 2015 but it fizzled out quite quickly (but hey it made a slight buzz at least). Sad, cuz I think she's a great legitimate pop artist, especially on her second album, but in most people's minds she's literally stigmatized as a novelty act I don't really like Call Me Maybe, so i'm skeptical.

As great as that song is, it's not that representative of most of her work. Especially not her second album of which "Run Away With Me" would be a way better example.
