2016 was such a simpler time...i was only 11 and i was a carefree elementary schoolkid.i miss playing pokemon go during that summer with my friends and i really miss being 11 years old....2016 was the last year my grandfather was alive and life was really good. i really miss everything about summer 2016 and i would do anything to go back to that time period because i really miss the fun and excitement and i really miss going on adventures with my grandfather that year...my grandfather took my brother and i to alot of places in new york city. i remember teaching my dad how to play pokemon go and i remember riding bikes with friends and it was so much fun...since 2017 everything changed since my grandpas death...it changed my life for the worst...2018 is really boring.me and my girlfriend broke up this july because we stopped talking to eachother...growing up really fucking sucks. i wish i could time travel to 2016 or any time period in the mid 2010s because the late 2010s really fucking sucks

I became friends with a girl that lives across the street because we played Pokemon GO. We found ourselves walking next to each other for a good 5 minutes. I got to go inside her house.
Everything was fun in 2016.

Pokémon GO was amazing. I wonder if we'll ever have a phenomenon like that again. I met so many of neighbours haha. It was nice going out and meeting other players everywhere you went.

I honestly really miss late 2016. It was easily one of the best parts of my life. Late 2016 and all of 2017 were so amazing to me.

I don't really miss 2016. It was probably the most boring year of my life. I did enjoy the last few months of 2016 like going to a local Jazz festival in my area, performing at my frist open-mic and going to NYC that Christmas.

I personally don't have any nostalgia for 2016. Not only is it still too recent, 2016 was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Pokémon GO was amazing. I wonder if we'll ever have a phenomenon like that again. I met so many of neighbours haha. It was nice going out and meeting other players everywhere you went. In retrospect, it's incredible that the Pokemon Go fad fizzled out as fast as it did. I know that there were several factors which ultimately tarnished the app's popularity (e.g safety issues), but considering how much of a phenomenon it was, it's surprising that it didn't at least survive into the first-half of 2017. It basically fell out of favour overnight.

I predicted it would only last a few months on inthe00s and I turned out to be right unfortunately.

2016 was a truly horrendous time for internet and news, and music was pretty blah that year for the most part with the exception of some great general releases. But despite all of this, I still had a great time that year and it was such a changing and exciting period in my life . Can't say I miss though as much as I miss 2015 since it is still so current in my mind. Last year of not being a 20er is still pretty special though!

When I was a freshman, the biggest success was not getting the honor roll. The biggest success was flipping a bottle back up .
