Is anyone else a fan of haunted houses? Or any Halloween themed thing like that, rides and etc?
I've never been to a real haunted house though sometimes I'm convinced that my own house is haunted, but I'm big on the horror stuff and I love going to the attractions for fun. The tickets for the good ones that don't have kids crying and running everywhere are a bit pricier around here so I've only been to a few this month. I do plan to go to at least a couple more before the month ends. I always take the place in front and lead everyone else through it, I don't know why but it's just so much more fun for me that way haha.

Not really, to be completely honest. I'm just not a fan of Halloween-themed things in general. I have been through a few old railway tunnels and buildings which are said to be haunted, but I've never experienced any paranormal things while I was in them. I know my house isn't haunted, because it was only built in the Mid '90s and we're the original homeowners.

I've been to some of the entertainment type but not a real one I just don't really like horror things in general, I can walk through them but I don't really get a thrill out of being scared or anything (Acting in a haunted house is a completely different story and it's actually pretty fun )
I have a very vivid imagination so I'd prefer not to go to a real one

Ah, cool! I've always wanted to act in a haunted house it seems like that would be an amazing experience. Any particular role you enjoyed the most?

Hmmm, it's fun to scare people if that's your thing, but people can react strongly I've only done it for school carnivals and such so scared kids aren't too much of a problem, but I've heard someone say she received physical violence, as a kind of reflex from getting scared I guess.
Otherwise designing the set, costumes, ambient music or even the whole layout of the house can be fun

I actually love this sort of thing, but I can't get ever get anyone else to go with me, and I won't go alone without someone to cling on to lol.
I think it would be fun being one of the actors!

Aww that's a bummer, I would totally go with you if I could! I have yet to make friends with people in my city who share that interest so I've only went with the fun part of the family for the past few years. I'm glad I at least have them because I could go alone but I feel like it's more fun when you're with someone you know so you can talk about it afterwards and everything.

I think it would be fun being one of the actors! I wonder how you would even apply for a job like that? I highly doubt the job vacancies would be listed on standard job search sites and the company/theme park who employs the actors likely wouldn't accept physical copies of resumes.

Ha thanks,I wish I could even get my family to go! But yeah even though I’m pretty introverted, I would feel weird alone, keeping to myself too much. I’m probably not gonna strike up conversation with others, I would feel weird screaming. I need somebody to bounce off of. I wonder how you would even apply for a job like that? I highly doubt the job vacancies would be listed on standard job search sites and the company/theme park who employs the actors likely wouldn't accept physical copies of resumes. The attractions in my area are local and would just post on their own website/social media pages. You could probably send them an email. I’m not sure if there would be auditions or what, they might decide what you do in the show after you sign up to work. Some even just get volunteers.

Well, over here the institution sends out emails looking for volunteers or part timers for events Usually around Halloween there's something about these events, a few times they were looking for scare actors and you had to show up at a physical audition to get in
It's also possible for someone in my field of study to get a job operating sounds at a haunted house, but I didn't go there

They range from kind of lame to really fun! The more effort put into making the experience realistic enough with acting that's up to par is what makes all the difference. That and not herding people through in large batches to ruin the element of surprise. As for real haunted houses? I was only in one. It was a self guided night time tour and the place only had one ghost according to staff. Still fun to explore and it was a nice old mansion. I recommend walking ghost tours personally. I was on one that took us downtown discussing different haunted sites in the area, we just couldn't go inside the buildings. Halloween is my favorite time of the year and I miss the days when I could properly celebrate.

The best thing I went to was a horror camp. Slept in the middle of a forest and let's say I didn't catch much sleep (involved mostly spiders)
