If you've read any books recently (or are currently reading any!) you can discuss them here or just let us know whether you enjoyed it or not.

I used to be an avid reader of non-fiction books when I was a kid, but I very rarely read books nowadays, only because I can search for info on different topics on my laptop. I did, however, read a book about the history of Australia between 1859 and 2009 a week ago. It was one of my favourite books when I was 10 years old and I decided to browse through the book when I was sorting through my stuff.

If im begin honest, I cant remember. Im one of those people who find it really hard to get into a book meaning I start reading tons of books but most likely will never finish them. With that being said, If I do find a book I can get into, I usually won't put it down for the next week. I need to get back into reading more often, new 2019 goal maybe?

A biography on Queen Elizabeth I, the author's name escapes me at the moment. It was earlier this year. Ever since I've subscribed to The Economist (which takes about 4-5 hours a week to read), I've had less time for reading actual books unfortunately. In 2015 I read 22 books (my New Year's Resolution that year was to read 50 ) Edit: Oh wait, I forgot that I finished re-reading the first book of the Hunger Games this past summer. I re-read it in French Learning French has been another hobby that's been eating into my English-language reading time.

The good news is I found out The Economist has an audio version, and as a downloadable podcast, and I listen to it on a Podcast app that speeds up the audio by 2.5x during my commute. I now have time in the week to read more books. I already made a thread about it, but I've restarted reading Home Fires: An Intimate Portrait of a Middle-class Family in Post-war America.
