Instead of making thread after thread about specific annoying trends, I thought maybe I should complain about them all in one place.
I've been transferring photos from my old phone to my new one, and I still have some from high school on there. I would always take pics of funny bathroom stall graffiti I found, and was reminded of 2012's most infamous forgotten subject:
KONY
I cannot believe I forgot about this, it was written everywhere. I know it was supposed to help some people in Africa, but I think it turned about to be scam?
Another cause that was huge (and annoying): The Ice Bucket Challenge
Now I don't want to dismiss the money and awareness this raised for ALS (was it 2014?), but I felt like it got out of hand, with people just dumping ice on their heads for likes. And others getting shamed into. I don't know, the way it went, it just rubbed me the wrong way.
Others: Tide Pods as food Cinnamon Challenge Kylie Jenner lips Onesies (they actually seem warm but people wear them for attention) Excessive filters/Facetune
Were everywhere and thus got annoying: Spinners Silly Bandz
More???

Pokemon Go was stupid and annoying. Give me a good reason not to ban you. (Just kidding).

*Harlem Shake: A social media trend which did not appeal to me at all.
* Ice Bucket challenge: I was never a fan of the Ice Bucket challenge either. Thankfully I never took part in it, but I know of a few people in my year group who did.
* Mannequin challenge: This was popular in Late 2016 and it involved someone walking around filming people frozen on the spot. A lot of the time, "Black Beatles" was played in the background of the video.
* Water Bottle challenge: I'm not sure if this was ever a trend in the US, but during Early 2017, there was a trend which involved people trying to flip their water bottles to see if the water bottle would land upright. A few of my friends persistently did it and I found it incredibly annoying.

2010s-hating threads like this one I don't see how this is hating on the 2010s.

2010s-hating threads like this one I actually like the 2010's and my intention wasn't hate for the decade as a whole. But like every other decade, there have been lots of crazy and bizarre trends worth discussing.
