Do you think there is another universe out there that is similar to ours but also very different? Let's say in an alternate universe, we are all actually the opposite gender, or maybe we could be animals doing stuff that is considered normal over there but very strange to us. Just like how things that seem completely normal to us seem very strange to them.
I feel like in a way, there is an alternative/parallel universe especially because there are billions of galaxies out there.

As a physicist, I'm going to say yes. Quantum mechanics makes so much more sense if you take into consideration the existence of parallel universes. Interestingly, Stephen Hawking's last published paper before his death was on this topic (I haven't read it - probably because I won't understand it  )

Yes, I believe alternate/parallel universes exist. However, the existence of parallel universes is all dependent on what exactly the "big bang" was and how it influenced the development of other galaxies, universes etc. I think it's likely that there would have been a duplication in the particles that formed the Milky Way, but who knows. Even if there is a parallel universe somewhere out there, we are never going to discover it.

Yeah I think there is even though I'll probably never see the fact of it for myself. In a way, it's comforting for me to believe in the idea of things out there such as alternate universes. It's given me the realization that even though the universe is more complex than anyone can comprehend, it means there has to be something more than just existing here on this planet and in this reality.

I'm not sure, because...I don't really believe in the big bang and all that. I've never really entertained the idea of there existing a parallel universe of us specifically, although I've thought about the existence of other different universes.

Its a legit possibility. An alternated universe, we could all be under-evolved, how we looked 100k in the past, intelligent, but we still look like we live in caves with the same advance society we live in 2019.
