A thread to discuss general topics relating to the history of pop culture.
I have a book which I have owned since I was ten years old called “Australia Through Time”. It’s a detailed look at how Australian society had changed between 1859 and 2009 (the year of publication). Anyway, I happened to come across it earlier today as I was sorting through my stuff and I just thought I would share some of the music-related newspaper articles which are in the book:
A newspaper clipping from 1970 about Olivia Newton-John moving over to the US to follow a career in acting and singing.
A 1964 newspaper article about Beatlemania in Australia. Apologies for the quality of the photo.
A 1970 article about Hippies at a pop music festival.
