I got the idea for this thread after watching a music TV channel earlier this afternoon and remembering how some songs played on the channel were slightly altered from their original releases. Are there any songs you like in which you prefer a higher-pitched version of the song over the original?
For some reason, Max (a subscription TV music channel here in Australia) always plays a higher-pitched version of this song. I haven't been able to find a higher-pitched version of "Spaceman" on YouTube, so I edited the pitch of the song myself (to make it sound how it does when it is played on the channel) and uploaded it onto one of my YouTube channels. Personally, I think the higher-pitched version sounds so much better than the original release.

Yeah I think this gonna become the Nightcore thread real quick The original version is slightly annoying to me, but highpitched up it's just more fun and the beats go hard!

It's funny that you started this thread, SharksFan99 , since the eurobeat genre is full of songs that feature vocalists who are pitched up, likely to match the sugary, hyperactive nature of such productions. For example, there's this track from 2006, a typical example of speedy, girly eurobeat that sounds particularly complete as a result of the high-pitched vocals: By contrast, the original version of the song, which was unreleased until this year, sounded like this:

Yeah, some songs sound much better after the pitch/tempo has been altered. Another example of this thread I can think of is the demo recording of "Headstrong" by Trapt. The unaltered, demo version of the song is better than the official release, IMO, but increasing the pitch of the demo takes the song to another level.

Little Trees' "Help! I'm A Fish (Little Yellow Fish)". I'm used to the PAL-pitched version as I own the DVD release of "Help! I'm A Fish" (the song was written for a now-obscure kids movie, it reached #11 on the UK charts).
(no video here. In fact, it's easier to find Creamy's version on YT. The MV had the female trio singing the song in a nightclub(?), and it was also included on the DVD (bonus points for PAL pitch). However, no proper versions of it (only camcorder rips) are on YT)
