Haha I actually used to have one! I was really into science things and somehow ants were so fascinating at the time. Mine was a gel ant farm, I really don't remember how long the first colony lived for but I'm guessing it was also probably a week or something like that since I tried to stick to it for about a month.

I thought this might be an interesting idea for a topic. Has anyone else here ever owned an ant-farm (like the one pictured above)? If so, how long did the ants survive in the ant-farm you owned? I had two ant-farms when I was 11. At the time, I knew that ant-farms don't last for very long, so I decided to create a timeline of how long the ants survived in the two ant-farms I owned. The ants only survived for one week and as you can see by the two pictures above, some of them died very gruesomely. I remember we used to have ant-farms in my primary school classes. This is of course going back years ago so I’m not sure of all the specifics now. 😜
