I dunno what people mean by "influences". When things are different, they're different simple as that.
I guess 2014? World problems completely moved away from the recession and into the concerns of the Syria war getting endless, the huge immigration problem in Europe and the new threat of ISIS. Pop culture fully transitioned into Spotify/Netflix era, and popular music itself felt noticeably different from a few years back.

Netflix had already started to take over in 2013. The recession no longer became a big concern as it was during Obama's first term. Isis and police brutality became the issues of the day.

Except in 2010-12 there weren't any Netflix original series which skyrocketed the service's popularity and made the binge-watching culture a stable.

2014. The first half still had some early 2010s influence.

This thread is decadeology. Popedia is a place to discuss popular culture, not when arbitrarily defined "influences" disappeared.
