I mean if we look at releases exclusively then almost every year gets redeemed somewhat honestly since great albums are almost a constant yearly thing.
Although a pretty strong and influencial year for albums, 1991 is certainly nowhere near as good as say 1993 and especially 1994 (it's the year of Superunknown, Dookie, Illmatic, Dummy, Ready to Die, The Blue Album, Parklife, Definitely Maybe, Music for the Jilted Generation and so on as a reminder) IMO
