I came up with the idea for this game just a few minutes ago. Someone has to compare two artists/bands and another person then has to pick their favourite out of the two artists/bands chosen and explain why they prefer their music over the other. Then, that person gets to pick two artists/bands of their choosing and the game continues from there.
Here is an example of how the game works:
Person 1: Prince or Michael Jackson?
Person 2: Prince, because I like "When Doves Cry" and....
I'll start off:
Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera?

Christina Aguilera, because she could pull off much deeper emotion than Britney without any less shred of candy-coated goodness.
Jay-Z or Kanye West?

This is a tough one. I'll be honest, i'm not too familiar with either of their music, but if I had to choose between the two, I would go with Jay-Z. "Empire State of Mind" and "Numb/Encore" are actually somewhat decent, although they're certainly not great by any means. His input in "Crazy In Love" isn't too bad either.
David Bowie or Elton John?

David Bowie by far, his discography is actually made off a wide array of interesting and eclectic rock concepts, and not too much emotional dross unlike Elton John.

Katy Perry. Rihanna makes crap music and is too far up herself.
Ed Sheeran or George Ezra?

Prodigy, because their highly brash and energetic club music is just that much more enjoyable, while Pendulum's straightforward D&B falls a little flat in comparison.
Kate Bush or Björk?

Kate Bush. I'm probably the wrong person to ask though, because I don't think I have ever listened to Bjork's music and i'm only familiar with a few Kate Bush songs.
The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones are mostly boring from what I've heard while The Beatles are great from their happy, cheesy debute to their later revered art-rock masterpieces.
Oasis or Pulp?

I agree. To be honest, there are very few Rolling Stones songs that I actually like. I don't see how anyone could artistically compare them with The Beatles.
Anyway, I would go with Oasis. Their songs, particularly from their first two albums, are well composed and great on their own merit. They shouldn't be viewed as being imitators of The Beatles. They were their own band through and through.

Bush because Gavin Rossdale is a brilliant singer and I've never heard of Live.
Madonna or Kylie?

Would say Madonna because her Ray of Light album is a highlight in Pop music history.
John Coltrane or Miles Davis?

Miles Davis, although I don't really have much of a preference. Red Hot Chili Peppers or Foo Fighters? Bush because Gavin Rossdale is a brilliant singer It's interesting to hear that you think Gavin Rossdale is a good singer. Do you like any Bush songs?
