I thought this might be an interesting topic of discussion. The 2010s will undoubtedly be remembered for it's strong presence of '90s nostalgia in the mainstream and the countless number of franchises from the '90s that have been rebooted (e.g Jumanji).
What is your opinion of the '90s and would you ever want to relive or experience the decade?
I know I've mentioned this several times before, but I personally would have loved to have experienced more of the '90s and it frustrates me that I was never at least old enough to have some memories of the decade. There's so many different elements of the '90s that I like; to name just a few, things such as Grunge/alternative-rock, the general diversity in music, shows such as Beavis & Butthead, goldern-era Simpsons and Seinfeld, movies such as Forrest Gump and The Green Mile. It just feels as though it would have been the perfect decade for me to grow up in and it's a shame that I can't call it my own.
I'm not sure though if I would want to experience the '90s as a child, as a teen or as a young-adult, like my parents were during the '90s. I think it would have been great to experience the '90s at either stage in life.

I do like a great deal of music/movies from the 90s (in fact my favorite song of all-time was coincidentally released in 1997), but never really cared about living through it for some reason so meh. The decade never really appealed that much to me I guess, with the exception of the late 90s maybe (I like the general millenium interest, and there is something I find very comforting about them for whatever reason). Life goes on anyway, you can't modify the past, but the future is in your hands .

Life goes on anyway, you can't modify the past, but the future is in your hands . It's funny that you should mention that about the Late '90s, because I have always felt the exact same way. They feel very homely to me as well. Some of my earliest music-related memories are of listening to Late '90s songs, such as "Blue" by Eiffel 65 and "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer. I can actually remember when Late '90s songs were still played on the radio on a regular basis back in 2003 and 2004. True. I just hope the music scene (and pop culture in general) improves over the next few years, because I miss the lack of variety on the charts and I want to be able to identify with new Top-40 music.

It’d be great to experience the ‘90s but I rather experience the 2000s.

born in the late 80s and 1996/1997 was when the 90s started getting fun to me, the start of the y2k era around 97 is a year I would be hard pressed to say no reliving again.

Born in 1997, so I can remember only a few experiences from like the second half of the 99 decade only a few weeks after turning 2. I dont really care about experiencing the 90s anymore than I already did, cause I am sure back then, people did not care about the 90s like they do now, and those are just people who were kids during the 90s. I was a kid for the full 2000s decade in length, and I did not care about the 2000s either. Pretty sure the way it works is that people always have nostalgia for the decade before the previous decade, so back in the 90s, people might have had nostalgia for the 70s, just like back in the 2000s, people may have nostalgia for the 80s. So in the 20s, we will be hearing nostalgia about the 2000s. 1999-2004 felt the same for me in terms of the time period probably cause I was not into the trends back then as I was only 7 when 2004 ended, and many people dont even remember the life experiences they had when they were 7.
